Content and Social Media Manger

THE ROLE

This is a high-output, hands-on creative role that sits at the intersection of content production and social media management. You will be equally comfortable owning our Instagram presence as you are planning a meticulous shoot, retouching a graphic in Photoshop, or creating lo-fi content. You are the brand's visual content engine and the person who keeps our social channels polished, active, and undeniably on-brand every single day.

You will work closely with the founder on every shoot, from building detailed shot lists through to flawless on-day execution. You will own the Instagram feed and Stories calendar, as well as other social channels.  When there is content to be made, you make it. 

This role is for someone who leads with their eye, works with their hands, and takes immense pride in output. You will thrive here if you are highly organised, creatively strong, and willing to pitch in wherever the brand needs you.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Social Media Management

  • Own and manage the Yellow by Jeslea Instagram feed: planning, scheduling, and posting all feed content in line with the content calendar
  • Manage Instagram Stories daily, keeping the account active, on-brand, and engaged
  • Post and manage content across further social channels as directed, including TikTok and any new platforms the brand activates on
  • Work alongside the founder to create and curate the content calendar 
  • Monitor post performance and flag standout content, trends, or opportunities to the founder
  • Maintain a consistent, elevated presence on the feed at all times, with no gaps and no off-brand moments

Shoot Planning & On-Day Execution

  • Build detailed, comprehensive shot lists for every shoot, from seasonal campaigns to day-to-day product captures, working closely with the founder
  • Own the execution on shoot days: prop sourcing and styling, flat lay composition, iPhone capture, and ensuring every image is on-brand before leaving the set
  • Demonstrate a strong instinct for on-brand prop and styling decisions, with a clear sense of what feels elevated and what feels like Yellow by Jeslea
  • Coordinate with the wider team on asset priorities to ensure all planned shots are captured and ready

Graphic Design & Digital Assets

  • Create ad hoc graphics, social assets, and campaign collateral using Canva and Adobe Photoshop
  • Produce creative assets for paid media as briefed by the relevant team
  • All assets should be visually polished and on-brand the first time, requiring minimal revision rounds
  • Support the wider team with design needs as they arise

Content Creation

  • Create high-quality, natural-feeling content from product and flat lay photography, to BTS,  lifestyle moments and founder content
  • Be able to produce strong content independently, with a clear eye for what looks elevated versus what looks generic

Video Asset Collaboration

  • Work closely with the founder to create and roll out assets across Instagram Reels and TikTok
  • Contribute to the broader content pipeline: pitch ideas, produce assets, and deliver on time and to brief
  • Assist with basic video editing where needed: trimming, colour grading, caption placement
  • Be willing to pitch in wherever content is needed as the team and channels grow


WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Exceptionally organised: able to manage a live posting schedule, multiple shoots, and design requests simultaneously
  • Meticulous attention to detail, from the curation of a feed grid to the angle of a product in a flat lay
  • A naturally strong creative eye, with instincts for on-brand content and prop styling that feel considered and elevated
  • Highly fluent in Instagram and social media best practices, with a strong feel for timing, tone, and format
  • High output and self-motivated: you do not wait to be told what to do next, and your standards are non-negotiable
  • Collaborative and communicative, able to thrive in a tight, fast-moving team
  • Brand-literate: you instinctively know what does and does not feel like Yellow by Jeslea
  • Willing to get stuck in, with no task too small if it moves the brand forward

Desirable but not essential:

  • Experience in a fashion, lifestyle, or jewellery brand
  • Familiarity with TikTok content formats and trends
  • Experience with paid social or ads creative
  • Adobe Premiere or CapCut editing experience
  • Experience with product photography setups and lighting
  • Familiarity with social scheduling tools
